Volcom is a modern lifestyle and sportswear for young people with a creative spirit. The idea was born when, in 1991, friends Richard Woolcott and Tucker Hall spent the winter snowboarding near Lake Tahoe. Later that year, the 5000usd loan, which Richard's dad borrowed, began to write history called Volcom.

In the course of time, wild beginnings have changed into history, and Volcom has matured and has gradually become world-renowned, but has never abandoned its philosophy and its attitude still reflects through art, music, movies, athletes, and clothing.
